Fitness Begins from Home

Since the economy gone downhill, many of us have adopted a “budget” mindset; for gym-goers, we try to opt for cheaper fitness centre, cheaper protein, or even quit the gym, as a way to reduce cost of living.

Amid thoughts from the experts claiming that the worst is over (especially after seeing a steep improvement since March to Sept’09), the recovery is poised to be gradual and in slow pace. Thus, it is very wise for us to continue to hold tight and plan properly on our expenses.

Body-building and weight-training has been a pricey sport. One way to tackle this is to make our home to be our own gym. A few pointers on what we should look for to equip our home with adequate and basic tools:
  • Flat bench
  • Mirror (full body size)
  • Floor mat (to place weights)
  • A pair of Dumbbells with adjustable weights
  • Barbell with adjustable weights
  • Radio/mp3 player to play your favorite workout tunes!
