FACIAL EXERCISE

Facial exercises such as gentle massage can help stimulate skin and promote better skin tone and texture. It can give the skin a healthy glow by bringing blood, oxygen, and nutrients to the skin’s surface. The increased oxygen intake helps the production of new cells, in which it slows down the skin’s aging process.

Doing facial exercise do not consume much of your time nor take you great effort. It will ultimately give you smoother skin with fewer lines. Some of the ways that you can try to massage your face are:

1.0 Apply nourishing cream or oil onto a cleansed face and gently make continuous one-inch circular motion over the surface of your face and throat using the pads of your fingers. You may do this while you are having a warm shower or bath as the steam helps the skin to absorb the moisture better
1.1 Upon cleansing your face, apply moisturizing cream with the pads of your fingers in upward strokes
1.2 Stretch and relax the muscles on your face in the area you wish to tone and firm up, which eventually helps to reduce facial lines
1.3 Apply moisturizing eye cream around the eye area using the pads of your index fingers. Open eyes wide and then squeeze them tightly closed. Repeat this exercise for a few times

Facial muscle exercises are just like body muscle exercises, whereby they must be done regularly in order to achieve and maintain good results. The recommendation is to do it daily for at least a month or until the desired effect is achieved. After that, you may opt for at least three times a week for maintaining the results.

Food consumption also plays an important role besides exercising your skin. You can keep it well nourished by consuming foods like whole grains, tomatoes, grapes, citrus fruits, vegetables, and fish oil which are rich in antioxidants. Always remember, healthy skin, in turn, reflects a radiant and youthful appearance.
