The Importance of Personal Hygiene

In the recent weeks, I came across a health magazine and there is an article mentioning the importance of personal hygiene. I am surprised to know that, it is so critical, whereby it can have much greater impact on your ability to stay healthy than your genes, your medicine that you take, or even your doctor. If you ignore the following daily activities (below), the negative effects will add-up over time and upon a few years later, the repercussion could be catastrophic!

  • Bathing frequently – to keep your body’s largest organ, i.e your skin to be bacteria & germs-free
  • Brushing your teeth – essential for healthy digestion & proper absorption of critical nutrients you need
  • Clear your bowel regularly – stationary, toxic load of partially digested food staying in your body is very harmful to your body. It will slowly release pollutants, bacteria, and by-products that can affect your healing system, making you defenseless against disease
