Ok, now I know different types of grips. Care to explain the differences?
Here are the reasons:
1) Eliminate/tie-in supporting muscle into the exercise, i.e Underhand Barbell Row - Biceps as supporting muscle to assist lifting; Overhand grip - no Biceps assistance
2) Better balancing and solid grip during execution, i.e Reverse grip Deadlift as compared to Overhand grip
3) Target on different muscle or muscle group, i.e Wide/Shoulder-width Barbell bench press is for your chest while Close grip will work more on your Triceps
4) Variation - sticking to a same exercise might make you feel bored. Instead of moving to other exercise, you may vary your grip to give you a different workout feeling, i.e Wide grip or Shoulder-width Pulldown
